Beccles Rowing Club is dedicated to maintaining its friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes it so popular with its existing members.
The club run club sessions every Sunday morning open to proficient adult rowers at 08:00 and then again at 09:30 for juniors and novices.
If you’d like to come and meet us or join then do get in touch via Enquiries Mailbox. Alternatively, from time to time we will run, ‘taster’ days when you can come along and try rowing. Keep visiting the site for further details.
The new coaching launch and training sculling boat make it easier to manage beginners to the sport, be they 12 or 60 years of age. We aim to cater for everyone, whether you aspire to compete in regattas around the country or simply to enjoy a paddle up the Waveney whenever you feel like it.
For the 2016-17 season, the club has agreed subscriptions options, as follows:
Adult – £156 per annum (£13 per month)
Under 18 – £120 per annum (£10 per month)
Over 18 but in full time education – £114 per annum (£9.50 per month)
Adult on low income (claiming income support) – £114 per annum (£9.50 per month)
All fees can be paid in one lump sum (payable on October 1st– the club’s start of financial year) or may be spread over the year by standing order by prior agreement.
Members can join any time and a pro-rata fee will be charged.
Do be aware that we do offer a family subscription discount whereby each subsequent member of the same household joining the club will receive a two pounds per month discount on their membership. For example, an adult and two juniors from the same family would pay a total of £29 per month (£13+£8+£8).
All members are required to be able to swim at least 50 metres in rowing kit and to undertake a capsize drill to demonstrate confidence in the water.
