The latest club newsletter is available here with details of a club social evening, regattas over the summer and an important safety reminder.
Well done to all our competitors and their supporters who attended this year’s Cambridge Autumn Regatta on Sunday 13th September.
Congratulations to our finalists Holly and Isobel in the WJ15 double sculls and extra special big-up to Jason Lock for winning his Masters’ Novice trophy. I hear he had Christened his winner’s cup within minutes of crossing the finish line!
Many thanks as always to our Chairman, Robin De Vere Green for trailer-towing duties and being chief whipper-in.
Good stuff folks.
Attention all members of Beccles RC.
The 2015 Annual General Meeting will be held at Beccles Town Hall starting at 19:30 on Friday 13th November.
The AGM is expected to last an hour to be followed by and bite to eat and drinks.
Please forward any agenda items to the Hon. Secretary (me) before the 6th November.
Please note that our AGM is due to take place on Friday 14th November at 7:00 p.m.
The proposed agenda is to be found here. Please do make every effort to attend to discuss plans for the club, elect a new committee and join us for a social get together after.
As we are now well into the new club year (as of 1st October), it will be helpful if everyone could complete new membership forms to ensure our records are accurate and up to date.
See you there.
Please be advised that we have just opened a two-week ‘window’ for a bulk order of club kit. See the club kit ordering page for further details.
Please follow this post to keep track of the plans for the sponsored row from Beccles to Oulton Broad on the afternoon of Saturday 28th June.
Good news. Our charity site on Virgin Money Giving has finally been launched. Follow this link to either start fundraising for the club or to make a donation:
Thanks and good luck with the fundraising.
All, please could you lend a hand this Saturday at the club from 10:00.
There are a number of maintenance jobs needing undertaking both around this site and on the boathouse itself. Many hands make light work so please do come and lend a hand.
As the clocks have changed and the evenings are brighter we have decided to start supporting club outings on Thursday evenings from 18:00.
This is open to all club members and adults are free to arrive earlier but could all juniors be aware that they should not boat prior to 18:00 unless their coach for the evening gives them explicit permission.
Do check the coaching rota to ensure that juniors will have qualified adult support.
There will be no junior rowing this Sunday, 20th April.
Hope to see you all again on the 27th at 10:00 as usual.
