Learn to Row Course May 2017
If you are interested in rowing as a new sport but have never been in a racing sculling or sweep-oared rowing boat before, then why not come and learn the basics with us on the beautiful river Waveney. We shall be running a beginners’ course over consecutive Sunday mornings throughout May.
Participants must be capable of swimming 25 metres in light clothing and be in good health.
Please bring a change of clothing, wear close-fitting comfortable sports clothing (splash tops will be provided) and bring a water bottle and light snack.
We shall be teaching everyone in club sculling boats as well as introducing those aged 16 and older to sweep-oar rowing on the final Saturday.
Time: 09:30 – 12:00 Sundays 7/14/21 May at the clubhouse off Puddingmoor, Beccles
Open to: all adults and children aged 13 years and over
Cost: to help cover our costs and to contribute to materials, we suggest a minimum donation of £40 which can be made via our VirginMoney Giving account (below)
Participants should also complete and return a membership form prior to starting the course so that we have a record of people’s details. On completion of the course, participants are then welcome to become full-time members of the club.
